We had an exciting visit from our local PCSO. They let us try out the driving seat and sit in the cage. We had great fun trying on the hats and uniform. We even took our own finger prints

Exciting butterfly developments…

Last week our caterpillars built cocoons around themselves! We are eagerly awaiting the moment that they… nibble a hole in the cocoon, push their way out and show us that they are beautiful butterflies!

Parents, please come and join us at 1pm for an afternoon of making fruit kebabs, caterpillar craft and butterfly painting fun!

All children welcome and parents to stay.

Session choices for September

Our children who are staying with us next year, please can parents start thinking about what sessions they would like for September. We will need confirmation from you about session choices by the end of June.

Summer term 1: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

This term we have been learning the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We use the storymap to retell the story, without looking at the book! Do you think you can retell the story? Look at the storymap and have a go!

All new children are settling well and we are enjoying the fun and excitement of the Summer term. We have been planting sunflower and cress seeds, creating beautiful butterfly masks, examining plants and their features (roots, stalk, leaves), safely cutting fruit for yummy fruit kebabs and manipulating coloured, smelly playdough to look like caterpillars!

Homework:

Our homework tasks are not compulsory but we would love to hear about your ‘Adventures at home’. We have created a display especially for photos and pictures of anything exciting that you have got up to! Come in and have a look if you need inspiration!

Dates for your diary:

Open afternoon: Wednesday 24th May at 1pm. Come and join us for butterfly craft and a Hungry Caterpillar picnic.

As always, please come and see us if you have any questions or queries.
